PhoneGap project development

I am writing this post as part of a course called Mobiilituotekehitys (Mobile development) held by Tero Karvinen http://terokarvinen.com/2012/aikataulu-mobiilituotekehitys-bus4tn008-2

I am using Eclipse to develop PhoneGap applications on a 64-bit Xubuntu 12.10 installed on a HP EliteBook 2560p Laptop.

Program Name

HelloDatabase2

Description

A prototype of my course project a workout diary. The program uses a database to store information of your exercises

Status

Doesn’t work / alpha / beta / release

developed with emulator & tested on Samsung Galaxy Gio S5660

Screenshots

APK-file

It seems that the database doesn’t work if the APK-file is directly loaded through the website. SDK needed for now.

Source code

http://myy.haaga-helia.fi/~a1103361/MD/nov28/HelloDatabase2.tar.gz

Technical information

Currently the program checks if a database exists, if not it creates one. The user has two options to choose of which type of excercise data to store. After one option is chosen, the user can decide which data to store to the database. The user can view the program’s stored data from any menu. The data can be emptied by clicking the “Reset data” button from the list.

Notes

The insert data button stays highlighted after the click/press has been made.

Error found. Copy errorCB function to index.html from warmups.html

  1. These two are definitely the best! But when I have to choose one out of these two, I shall opt for PhoneGap only. I have used this tool before and I am completely satisfied with this tool. I have to pay attention to one code base only and then generate apps for the major mobile platforms.
